HOW CAN I CHANGE THE WORLD?

In the summer of 2017 participants were invited to enter the 2nd Annual Celebrating Diversity Photo Competition by entering up to 3 photographs each on our BritCham Facebook page. The theme for the competition was “How can I change the world?” where we asked entrants to think about what diversity meant to them, how they would like the world to be more accepting in the years ahead, and how they could illustrate this through images.

Finalist images were shortlisted for a chance to win cash prizes and to have their images showcased at an award event in January hosted by the British High Commissioner, His Excellency Scott Wightman at Eden Hall.

The four cash prize winners of the competition, who also received large framed posters of their photos and a framed winner's certificate were:

  1. Wong Chek Poh, 56
  2. Harris Norzlan, 13
  3. Yi Chao Ong, 32
  4. Mary Ann Kiong, 16

The prize winning event in January 2018 attracted many of the business community in Singapore from our membership and beyond who have an interest in encouraging diversity and inclusion, and all were impressed with the standards of the winners and finalists.
