The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival

MINDSET Care Limited (MINDSET) is a Jardine Matheson charity committed to supporting the mental health community in Singapore. Its annual fundraiser, The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival (TMCC), comprises a 33-floor vertical race and a carnival. The race symbolises the uphill battle against stigma and the challenges that mental health persons-in-recovery undergo every day in their lives while attempting to integrate back into society.

The 2021 edition, themed “Around the World” aims to raise S$300,000 for DigitalMINDSET, a nine-month intervention programme in collaboration with TOUCH Community Services, targeted to help youths aged 12 to 21 facing emotional irregulations due to excessive gaming and device use. The programme undertakes a holistic approach comprising one-to-one counselling, family casework and group therapy sessions.

In the last two years, DigitalMINDSET has helped over 140 youths and their families. More than 80% of completed cases reported increased self-awareness and emotional regulations, understanding consequential thinking and goal ownership and having better relationships with their families.
