The Future of Global Trade & Prosperity: Impacts of the US-China Trade War & Brexit

The US-China trade war has dominated financial and economic news in Asia in the past year. How big has the impact been in China, the USA and beyond? Will there be a winner, or will everyone lose? Similarly, in Europe and the UK, Brexit has been the dominant news story for three years now. Will a no-deal Brexit be the disaster most economists and the media seem to believe?

Together, the two stories are being presented as posing an existential risk to the multilateral trading system. Where does the multilateral trading system go from here and how are the trade war and Brexit likely to impact global prosperity?
