Botero: Heart of Volume

Heart of Volume is a major gallery exhibition presenting the largest presentation of Fernando Botero’s works ever shown in Asia, drawn directly from the Botero family collection. Spanning the artist’s 70-year career, the exhibition brings together paintings, drawings, and indoor sculptures that trace the evolution of his distinctive “Boterismo” style.

From intimate studies and watercolours to fully realised compositions, the works reveal Botero’s mastery of form, colour, and balance. Set within IMBA’s gallery space, visitors are invited to experience his art up close, appreciating the warmth and discipline behind some of the most recognisable works in modern art.

Previously shown in Rome, Baku, and Guangzhou, Heart of Volume makes its Singapore debut at IMBA as part of most ambitious presentation in the region.
