We started on the banks of the Yangtze River in 1872 where we operated a modest fleet of Mississippi-style paddle steamers. Today, we are headquartered in Singapore, with our two business divisions –Swire Shipping and Swire Projects. We offer multipurpose liner services through Swire Shipping for the global transportation of containerised, breakbulk, heavy lift and project cargoes. Our Projects division provides specialist shipping services to the energy, resource and infrastructure sector in the project logistics market.
We operate out of 32 offices in 17 countries. With over 2,600 onshore and seafaring staff, we facilitate trade in more than 90 countries, ensuring that we will always be able to serve our customers wherever they may be.
