These are exciting times for the British High Commission in Singapore. In 2022, the UK will host the Commonwealth Games, celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, organise the UK Festival of Creativity and commemorate 150 years of the FA Cup.

To drive our social media engagement around these and several other exciting projects, the High Commission is looking for a Digital Content Producer to manage our social media channels and produce compelling content to engage our audiences.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who will be a critical ingredient for storytelling, producing and publishing content on varied themes from Education, Sustainability and Science & Innovation to Youth, Sports & Culture.

You’ll be part of a small, but mighty, Communications Team that works collaboratively with teams across the High Commission in Singapore and counterparts in London. You will not only have a front-row seat to important global events but also gain invaluable experience of working inside a diplomatic mission and witness first-hand the real-world impact of our work.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • You will shoot, edit and produce original audio-visual content that is in the zeitgeist for modern Singaporean audiences.
  • Manage the editorial calendar for UKinSingapore social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn) and contribute to developing a coherent voice and editorial vision.
  • Develop plans to grow followers.
  • Track and analyse performance of content.
  • Generate and research new ideas for engaging our audience.
  • Proactively develop and manage innovative and impact-driven digital partnerships, including opportunities for collaborations with external partners and influencers.
  • Ensure brand consistency in close collaboration with colleagues in London.
  • Responsible for internal digital communications and reporting on channel performance and relevant news/trends.
  • Work closely with colleagues from other government departments to ensure cross government alignment on local communications strategies through early engagement and forward planning.
