Dover Court International School is proud to share the remarkable achievements of its students in the 2025 I/GCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations. This year marks the school’s largest cohort to date, and their results reflect both exceptional student effort and the strength of the school’s inclusive and supportive community.
2025 I/GCSE Results at a Glance
- 54% of all grades were 9–7 (A*–A)
- 95% of all grades were 9–4 (A*–C)
- 53% of grades exceeded targets
- 12% of candidates achieved 100% in grades 9–7 (A*–A)
This year’s results are outstanding, with 54% of grades awarded at levels 9–7 (equivalent to A*/A in the previous grading system), reflecting a high level of academic achievement. Notably, 12% of candidates achieved a perfect 100% in grades 9-7, demonstrating students’ hard work and dedication. These outcomes are particularly impressive given Dover Court’s non-selective and inclusive approach to education. The school’s three-year I/GCSE programme plays a key role in this success, offering students extended time to build subject knowledge, develop confidence, and prepare thoroughly for their exams. Each student is supported through a personalised learning journey, designed to help them achieve their full potential within a diverse and supportive community.
Rachel Edwards, our Head of Secondary, reflected on the significance of this year’s results and the collective support behind them:
“Our students can be very proud of their effort, resilience, and achievements. Thank you to our parents, teachers, and support teams, whose care, guidance, and encouragement to strive for excellence have been simply outstanding. As a fully-inclusive school committed to success for all, our approach to personalising learning from a promise to reality is driven by our school mission and our people. Our I/GCSE results represent achievement from learners across our Pathway programmes.”
Principal, Christopher Short, expresses his pride:
“I am delighted to see Dover Court achieve another wonderful set of IGCSEs. I was privileged to join students and teachers on results day to witness the joy and excitement as they discovered how well they had done. It is a testament to all their hard work – skillfully supported by their teachers.”
As one of the leading international schools in Singapore, Dover Court offers both GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) qualifications and International GCSE (IGCSE) options. The school provides a range of subject choices thoughtfully designed to support student aspirations and academic excellence while maintaining its commitment to inclusion. This ensures that every child’s education aligns with their individual needs, strengths, and future ambitions, enabling them to engage in a tailored learning experience.
As the school celebrates these successes, it looks forward to supporting students as they transition into the exciting new phase of Sixth Form at Dover Court. The school remains committed to guiding each student on their journey, nurturing a love of learning, and helping them achieve their personal best.
