The Role Responsibilities

Business communications:

  • Support the execution of the CCIB Client Coverage internal communications and employee engagement strategy
  • Ensure effective and timely communication of organisational initiatives and programmes to employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, edit, write and publish content for a variety of internal communications mediums and channels covering intranet, email and social media among others
  • Coordinate the production of high-quality digital content where required (videos, podcasts, articles, blogs, e-newsletters and email)
  • Develop and maintain message houses, FAQs, narratives or scripts to support effective employee communications
  • Create brand compliant internal communications materials and ensure consistency of messaging across the various businesses
  • Respond to feedback from employees and stakeholders in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from other businesses or functions on internal communications initiatives at a Group’s level and ensure alignment with the broader CCID-wide communications messaging and narrative
  • Work with creative design agencies to translate ideas into effective internal communications messages where required
  • Maintain up-to-date digital asset library for images and internal communications templates

Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Provide insight and business validated input on PEDs, RED packs, project closure and status reports
  • Adhere to financial governance, supply chain management and procurement guidelines for third party vendor sourcing arrangements.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Adhere to PRA and FCA prescribed responsibilities and rationale for allocation.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in an Internal Communications role, ideally in Banking, Corporate or Investment Banking or in large, multinational organisations
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, with extensive writing experience for a variety of different audiences desired
  • Ability to articulate stories creatively that appeal to different audiences with a deep understanding of messaging, positioning, and stakeholder needs
  • Knowledge of digital and video means of communication, including video editing skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of a diverse and global organisation
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure as well as to tight deadlines, with excellent project and time management skills
  • Comfortable with learning new programmes to enhance company-wide communication
  • Ability to adapt and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
