17th Annual Business Awards Winner: Dyson for Outstanding UK-Singapore Collaboration

Dyson announced as the inaugural winners of the Outstanding UK-Singapore Collaboration category at BritCham's 17th Annual Business Awards

Dyson have been announced as this year's inaugural winner of the Outstanding UK-Singapore Collaboration category at BritCham's 17th Annual Business Awards.

Dyson's winning entry illustrated the 50/50 development process which they operate between the UK and Singapore, their latest product launch the Supersonic hairdryer being an example of this dynamic.

Judge H.E Scott Wightman, British High Commissioner, looked for successful collaborations which lead to growth, innovation, job opportunities and investment, whether in the UK, Singapore or ASEAN. Discussing the winning entry, His Excellency stated:

"Dyson have developed the strong collaborative relationship between their world class team of engineers and scientists in the UK and their R+D team in Singapore. This has been instrumental in the launch in the last 12 months of Dyson's new Supersonic hairdryer, conceptualised in the UK and developed by the cross-functional Singapore-based team, working across electronics, mechanical and design engineering. This is a great example of UK/Singapore collaboration at the cutting edge of technology and design, contributing to economic growth and high quality jobs in both countries."
