THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSION IN SINGAPORE

British High CommissionThe High Commissioner and their team provide regular support to the Chamber by working with us in events, content and opportunities to meet with senior Ministers as they visit Singapore throughout the year. Our Trade Services team are also a delivery partner for events held at Eden Hall, the Official Residence of the British High Commissioner in Singapore.

Officially, the British High Commission in Singapore maintains and develops relations between the UK and Singapore. They encourage Singapore to look to the UK as a global partner of choice in trade, investment, science and research, and help Singapore on low-carbon economic development. Every year, the High Commission helps about 100 UK companies to gain a foothold in Singapore. They also work with Singapore to protect the national security of both countries, including through holding joint military exercises under the Five Power Defence Arrangements.

THE UK DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRADE IN SINGAPORE

DITThe Department for International Trade (DIT) team in Singapore are embedded within the Chamber Committees and provide a link for our members to activities driven by the High Commission and the UK's broader agenda. Our Trade Services team are a delivery partner for DIT, supporting British companies looking to establish a presence in Singapore and working with the DIT team on trade missions throughout the year.

Officially, DIT in Singapore helps companies in Britain increase their competitiveness through overseas trade in Singapore. They also offer professional, authoritative and personalised assistance to help companies in Singapore locate and expand in the UK.

THE BRITISH COUNCIL

British CouncilThe British Council is the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. SBFThe Chamber is one of 30 Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs) in Singapore who signed a compact in 2017 committing us to work together as strategic partners and collaborators to further the interests of SBF members and facilitate the growth of the business community in Singapore.

SINGAPORE CRICKET CLUB

SCCEstablished in 1852, the Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) is today a premier sports and social club in Asia.
