TEDxTanglin Trust School: Back to the Drawing Board

The Tanglin community gathered online on Tuesday, November 16, to catch the school’s sixth TEDx event. This year’s event, themed ‘Back to the Drawing Board’, showcased nine speakers from all walks of life, including an artist, a paediatrician, a computer science specialist, an HR professional and four student presenters! They each shared how they adapted and learned through challenging times and that one should never be afraid to go back to the drawing board to start over again.

Oskar, a Year 13 student at Tanglin who is also the event’s marketing director, explained why they chose the theme: “I think it’s important to know how to deal with situations that force us to go back to the fundamentals and change how we do things. For example, COVID-19 is a great example where frontline workers are forced to change their work patterns, procedures and training within a short amount of time.”

The TEDxTanglin Trust School event is funded by the TTS Foundation and entirely student run and executed.
