Press Release: BritCham and Globalization Partners announce a year of debate around the future of work

Press release

The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore (BritCham) are delighted to announce the addition of Globalization Partners, which makes it fast and easy for companies to hire anyone, anywhere within minutes via its SaaS global Employer of Record (EOR) platform, as their latest annual partner supporting the Chamber’s activities. As part of the agreement, Globalization Partners will become the Official Future of Work Partner for the Chamber, working closely in collaboration to encourage debate, discussion and best practice sharing on all topics relating to the workforce and workplace of the future.

As the world of business moves towards a new phase in the recovery from Covid, CEOs and Human Resource leaders will be faced with unprecedented change in the way we work. Could the workforce continue to work remotely? How much facetime is truly needed to continue to spark ideas and collaborate between teams? Will the business still need the same footprint in office space? How can they keep employees engaged and productive? How will the roles and skillsets needed for success change after Covid and with continued developments in technology?

In the coming 12 months, BritCham and Globalization Partners will be hosting roundtables, webinars and podcast discussions, publishing thought leadership and providing a platform for expert opinions to support the business community in this next phase of their journey. In parallel, the Chamber will continue to work with colleagues in the Ministry of Manpower and agencies such as Workforce Singapore to address the talent and skills needed for the future of businesses in Singapore. One highlight of these conversations will be our annual Manpower Survey later in the year, benchmarking the changing nature of the workforce within our member community.

“Hiring the best talent and keeping them engaged and empowered, delighting customers, staying on top of compliance, and maintaining uncompromised organisational culture are high on the agenda as companies evolve post pandemic,”

said Charles Ferguson, General Manager, Globalization Partners, Asia Pacific.

“A wealth of opportunities await companies who embrace innovation and are bold enough to reimagine success and we are humbled to be part of their journey.”

BritCham Executive Director, David Kelly, said:

“We are thrilled to be working alongside our colleagues at Globalization Partners in our important discussions on the Future of Work. Alongside support for trade and business growth, people and the Future of Work are core pillars for the Chamber. At this critical juncture for businesses, the Chamber will support our members as they face these challenges and look forward to working with Charles and his team in our campaign.”
