We’ve been celebrating business excellence in Singapore for over 20 years, across all sectors and company sizes, sharing your stories with our audience, the local media and our colleagues in the Singapore and UK Government who are invited to participate in our judging panel for our Annual Business Awards. Today, we announced the launch of the 22nd edition and the call for entries.

All entries and information submitted to the Annual Business Awards are treated in the strictest of confidence and viewed only by the shortlisting committee and judges. There is no fee to enter, so why not take a little time to celebrate your achievements this year?

Awards Timeline

Entries open on 21 April 2021 and close on 26 July 2021. Shortlisting and the announcement of finalists will take place in August, with the final judging following in September. The Gala Awards Ceremony and winners publicity will take place in October 2021.

Will the Gala Awards Ceremony be virtual this year?

We hope to welcome guests in some version of a physical event in October 2021, however with Covid restrictions on events under continuous review in Singapore, a decision will be taken and communicated closer to the event date.

Who judges the awards?

An expert group of judges will review each of the finalist entries per category. In recent years, our judges have included the Executive Vice President of International Operations for Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB), the Assistant CEO of the Singapore Business Federation, the Country Director for the Department for International Trade, the British High Commissioner to Singapore, and C-suite professionals from within the business community. The judging panel for the 22nd Annual Business Awards will be announced in due course.

Am I eligible to enter?

In all categories other than the exceptions below, any Singapore-registered business may enter the Annual Business Awards. Membership of the Chamber is not a pre-requisite for entry.

Exceptions:

• UK Exporter of the Year – the business must be headquartered in the UK, with evidence of British-produced exports to Singapore for the entire period of 2018-2021.
• Start-up of the Year – the business must have been registered in Singapore within the past 5 years prior to the awards launch (April 2021).
• Individual Contribution of the Year – the individual who enters/is nominated for entry must be employed by a Singapore-registered business.

How do I enter?

Entry for the Annual Business Awards is made on this website via the entry form at www.britcham.org.sg/awards/22ABA. There is no fee for entry. Each category requires its own entry form to be completed; the form will generate specific questions for each, so make sure to complete the relevant information if you plan to enter more than one category. A series of questions must be completed, along with the submission of any supporting documents/video links and contact information.

If you are a lucky finalist of the UK Impact in Singapore category, a production company will be attending your office/location to film a short reel to be shown at the Gala Awards Ceremony. The winner of this category will be decided on the evening by our audience in a live voting poll.
