Overcoming and Integrating Disruptive Technologies

Brought to you by the Energy & Utilities Committee and Transport, Logistics & Supply Chain Committee

Disruptive technologies significantly alter the way businesses or entire industries operate. These technologies often force companies to alter the way they approach their business or risk losing market share.

Through an interactive panel discussion, we will seek to examine the gaps between what is being done and what is possible, through the use of disruptive technology, as compared to what is still only in the realms of 'blue-sky' thinking.

We will draw on some of the practical applications including:
  • The use of distributed ledger technology in settlements and trading systems
  • Artificial intelligence in crunching data
  • Increased use of the Internet of Things
  • Encryption and security
  • Smart contracts and legal aspects
  • Insurance and allocation of risk
  • Future of work
