10 Scotts Road Lunch with Alan Yarrow, The Rt Hon Lord Mayor of the City of London
The BritCham Leaders in Business Lunch series is a platform for thought leaders from a variety of industries to discuss current business issues and trends, and their individual leadership philosophy. We welcomed the Rt Hon Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment, to the first Leaders in Business Lunch of the year.
In his talk, the Lord Mayor of London discussed latest updates about regulations in the banking industry, shared his views on diversity, and in particular women in investment banking. This was followed by a Q&A session.

The Lord Mayor of the City of London is the head of the City of London Corporation, a body whose constitution was confirmed by William I in 1067. Almost 1,000 years later, these arrangements endure and Alderman Alan Yarrow is the 687th Lord Mayor.
The Lord Mayor has been Alderman for the Ward of Bridge and Bridge Without and a Magistrate of the City of London since 2007. He has served on the City of London Markets, Guildhall Library and Art Gallery, Port Health and Environmental Services, Finance and Planning and Transportation Committees, and as a Governor of the City of London Freemen’s School. He is currently a member of the Policy & Resources and Establishment Committees and an Almoner of Christ’s Hospital. He is a Liveryman of the Fishmongers’ Company (and member of its Court), the Glaziers’ Company and of the International Bankers’ Company, and an honorary Liveryman of the Launderers’ Company, the Security Professionals Company and the Scientific Instrument Makers’ Company. The Lord Mayor also served as Sheriff of the City of London from September 2011 to September 2012.
