Joe is a young professional who has broad experience in retail, marketing, purchasing, advertising and business development. He currently works at the Professional Development Centre at the British Council supporting a range of clients with their learning and development needs in both the private and public sectors. He is also the diversity lead for the country heading up a team that organise events for staff as well as making sure that diversity is mainstreamed across the business. Joe has previously worked in Amsterdam and London.

Mark Chowdhry is a UK qualified solicitor and acts as the Managing Director of Baxters International (Singapore), which provides strategic long-term business advice to global investors, multi-nationals and international entrepreneurs. Mark has over 15 years’ experience in Global immigration matters, in particular, applications pertaining to UK immigration. The firm also provides consultancy services for international acquisitions and mergers with respect to immigration and nationality law. Mark is co-founder of BAM! a new and exciting mobile app, with built-in augmented reality, for buying and selling art pieces from all over the world. As an excellent speaker Mark is frequently invited to conferences across the world on immigration topics and is a regular contributor to various well known journals. He has been listed as a leading practitioner in the ‘Who’s Who’ guide to Corporate Immigration since 2015, as well as other such leading publications.

Previously, Lucy spent 12 years working for CIBT, a multinational company servicing the travel industry with visa information and processing support. During this time she held various senior executive positions and relocated to Singapore from the UK 5 years ago to champion the company’s expansion into the Asia region.

Cecilia Leong-Faulkner is the principal founder and Managing Director of the British Theatre Playhouse incorporated in Singapore with a branch office in London. She has worked with social causes and organises high profile charity gala events through the British Theatre Playhouse to help raise funds for the less fortunate and those in need.

Cecilia has worked in a cross-cultural environment having worked for American Express in Malaysia, Wembley Stadium PLC in the UK and the luxury Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts based in Singapore. After leaving the Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, she started her Marketing and PR consulting firm in 1998 and since, worked as a consultant for various clients including the Six Senses Resorts & Spas and on fashion events with the Singapore Tourism Board.

Sue Anne is currently the Head of Talent & Leadership for APAC in Rolls-Royce, based in Singapore. She brings perspectives from both consulting and corporate HR - with more than 16 years’ experience over consulting, talent management and leadership, employee engagement, organizational development and strategic HR business partnering in MNCs and the government sector. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, she was the Vice President of HR in Volvo Trucks Sales (Asia Oceania), playing a strategic role in shaping the people and talent agenda. She has worked in both Singapore and Hong Kong and managed consulting projects across Asia while working with Hewitt Associates. She is also a trained CTI Co-Active Coach, ICF member, and currently pursuing CPCC certification (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach).

David has over 16 years global experience in Management Consulting, Sales and Marketing, having previously worked with leading firms such as ICI and Accenture, before joining PwC.

Kate is Head of Brunswick Singapore, the leading global corporate reputation and communications consultancy. She is responsible for the development of the firm’s Southeast Asia practice and chairs the Brunswick’s regional talent committee in Asia. Kate advises leading international and regional corporates on reputation building and protection, including crisis preparedness and response as well as on major mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. In Southeast Asia her focus has been on helping clients devise and implement communication and stakeholder engagement programmes to support market entry strategies, capital raisings and business transformation. Before joining Brunswick, Kate spent six years in corporate finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where she worked on a number of capital market transactions including flotations, mergers and recommended offers and hostile offers. Kate joined the British Diplomatic Service and served as at the British Embassy in Ankara after graduating with a First class degree in Physics from Keble College, Oxford University.

Christopher Short has been the Principal of Dover Court International School since August 2016 having moved to Singapore from Vietnam, where he helped found the British International School, Hanoi. Prior to this he was a Headteacher in Dubai and on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic. In these countries and territories Chris has had to work creatively to ensure not only his own continued professional development but also those of this teams. He worked with HTI in Dubai to develop leadership programmes for emerging and aspiring school leaders and has worked within his current parent company (Nord Anglia Education) to help promote their philosophy of internal development and promotion - ‘Growing your Own’

A Hospitality Management graduate from Temasek Polytechnic, Cris started her career in events management and her interest in wines developed further when she joined the wine trade in 2008. Armed with WSET Level 3, Certified Specialist of Wines (CSW), and French Wine Scholar from the Society of Wine Educators, Cris now manages Berrys’ Singapore office and has been with the company since its inception in 2012. Outside the world of wines, Cris loves soaking up the sun and is an avid scuba diver. She enjoys the Arts and is a great fan of Antonio Gaudi and Salvador Dali.

Naomi Herman is the Regional Training Manager at Clifford Chance where she covers legal technical training across 8 offices in APAC. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School, who started her career as a US lawyer, working with White & Case in Miami and later on with Milbank and Linklaters in Singapore. She has extensive experience in legal training and professional development. Naomi was an Adjunct Professor at SMU Law School for four years after which she founded her own training company, focusing on effective communication for lawyers and business people.

Camilla is Managing Director for the Asia arm of Affordable Art Fair and a board member of parent company, Ramsay Fairs. Part of the initial team who launched Art Dubai and worked to cement its success as part of the annual global art fair calendar, Camilla was then tasked with spearheading the development of the UK brand, Affordable Art Fair, in Asia. She launched fairs and teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and Seoul from 2010-2015. Her focus is ensuring the fairs act as dynamic international platforms to allow dialogue between galleries and visitors with a local market flavour whilst exploring partnership opportunities in the region to help more people fall in love with art. Before joining the art fair world, Camilla worked with innovation consultancy, ?What If!, in London focusing on unlocking the power of people’s potential in business and driving innovation internally to build more powerful businesses. Camilla is also a mentor to Ngee Ann Polytechnic students in Singapore.

Matthew is a Senior Associate in the Corporate team of Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee, an international law firm. Based in London before relocating to Singapore six years ago, Matthew combines international expertise with local knowledge to assist on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and a range of commercial matters across South East Asia. He also advises on employment law and data privacy.

Matthew heads the Pro Bono and Citizenship activities of the Singapore office, advising pro bono and entrepreneurial organisations, as well as organising fundraising events. He studied Law at the University of Warwick before completing the LPC at Nottingham. Matthew joined the Young British Chamber in 2015 after becoming involved in YBC events, hoping to reach out to young professionals in Singapore and expand the community. He lives on the East Coast with his wife, son and family dog, Tiger.

Ishita is a Director with EY’s Life Science Advisory Practice. She has over 10 years of experience in supporting Pharma/ Med Tech companies expand their presence in Asia Pacific. She has worked extensively on topics like New Market Entry, Digital Operations, Customer Engagement, Organization Design and Supply Chain Planning. Prior to joining EY, she was the business lead for DHL’s Life Science business in South Asia, where she was responsible for growing the distribution and fulfilment portfolio across India, Indonesia and Indo-China. She is excited about the possibilities of digitally disrupting the Talent space - creating new frontiers for millennials, better engagement for employees and introducing effective platforms for professional development.

Following a career at the front line of account leadership, Anne is now a mentor to the client service team at CPM Asia Sales & Marketing. She designs tailored workshops and learning programmes, to help the management team engage with their clients and deliver exceptional service. She maintains an active involvement in various educational charities and business women’s networks focusing on organising fund raising events. She has a long standing involvement with the American Association of Singapore and currently volunteers there and writes for the Singapore American Newspaper. She is also the co-chair of the American Women’s Association’s Writers Group.

Don is the Co-Founder and Director of TYC Transform Your Conversations, which is Learning and Development Company that develops managers skills to drive business performance, whether it’s managing performance conversations, coaching or having challenging conversations. He is a leadership development facilitator and coach who has worked extensively in Europe, Asia, USA and the Middle East. Don comes from an Anglo-Dutch family and after spending most of his career in Paris, now lives in Singapore, training and coaching for MNCs across the region. He was previously with Marks & Spencer, involved in growing and adapting the chain of retail stores for the Continental European market as Divisional Commercial Controller and Store Operations Manager for the French, Belgian, Spanish and Irish subsidiaries. Don is also an active member of the LTPD committee, helping to organise events around the development of soft skills and contributing to the ongoing dialogue in our member organisations around the challenges of the Future of Work.
