Singapore, 25 July, 2016: The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore today unveiled S. Iswaran, Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry) as the Guest of Honour and keynote speaker at its upcoming Annual Business Awards.

 

Scheduled for September 29th and now in its 17th year, the Awards are the longest running of any of Singapore’s Chambers of Commerce and are designed to celebrate business excellence and further deepen ties between Singapore and UK businesses.

 

“Debate about Britain’s future direction in the world has of course been well publicised in recent weeks,” said Bicky Bhangu, President of the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore. “However, one thing that we can be confident of is the continued deepening and strengthening of Singapore-UK business ties. These ties have been forged over decades and I am honoured that Minister S. Iswaran, Minister for Trade & Industry (Industry) will be on hand to celebrate this enduring business relationship between two trading nations.

 

“The Annual Business Awards are a chance for us to celebrate the best of business here in Singapore and the Minister’s presence as our esteemed Guest of Honour underscores the fact that Singapore-UK trade commands attention at the very highest levels of government.”

 

The British Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards recognises the quality and achievements of businesses in Singapore.
