Event Details

Over 1 billion people across the world use Microsoft Windows every day to help solve their problems, develop ideas and stay connected to what's most important to them.

Originally launched in 1985, and chosen today by over 94% of the world's PC users, in 2009 Microsoft introduced the latest version of Windows - called Windows 7.

At the heart of the design, development and launch of this new version was a relentless focus on the "customer experience".

In this session, the speaker will share with you:
- How listening to customers is at the heart of all great product/service design - sharing the Microsoft approach.
- Developing an emotional connection between 1bn users and the Windows brand.
- How Microsoft's marketing strategy evolved - and improved - as a result of the global economic downturn.
- Leveraging 1 billion users and 8 million beta-testers to create and launch Windows 7.
- Successfully leveraging end-users via social-media efforts to amplify and magnify launch impact.

The presentation will focus on:
- How does Microsoft design and develop software?
- Creating an emotional connection to the Windows brand.
- Leveraging 1 billion users and 8 million beta-testers to create Windows 7.
