Women in Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is not a new concept, but it has gained increasing notoriety with more companies taking this seriously. However, the percentage of females breaking into the sector is very low, least of all into leadership positions. It still remains an area where there's a significant shortage of women’s representation in this male-dominated field.

We are currently experiencing several opinions around the topic, and debates are just flooding the web. It is important to work towards these three main goals for the cyber industry: inclusion, inspiration, and motivation. To achieve these objectives, the change must start from everyone’s accomplishment; small or big. It starts with the individual, and then impacts the community.

Why aren't there as many women in this field? What can we do?

In this session, we will explore the many facets of cybersecurity and how we can increase female involvement in this field. The discussion will center on the cybersecurity industry and women’s place in this fast-changing epoch with practical takeaways and advice. It will give you real world insights and bring you through the current challenges, and success of women in cyber.

This event will include a full buffet breakfast and time during registration and post event for networking with other members and guests.
