Members and guests joined us as top brand, digital marketing and audience data experts came together to share their knowledge, insights, opportunities and challenges to help fellow B2B and B2C business leaders rethink their ecommerce and digital marketing strategies. This topic is key to better compete in today’s competitive digital landscape.
 
CEO of EnVeritas Group, Brice Bay, addressed why a customer’s online decision journey should be the priority of one's digital content marketing strategy. Director of Activation, Insights and Analytics at Eyeota, Jessie De Luca, shared the latest audience data buying trends across Asia - Participants learned more about effective audience targeting, using cases and data strategies. Luxasia's Regional Head of Consumer, Avis Easteal, addressed how brands can engage and inspire target audiences so they see your brand as an extension of their community. Google's Head of Hospitality and Tourism, Jennifer Villalobos, shared the benefits of using videos as an Acquisition Channel - How brands can tap into the right audiences in this landscape and leverage video as distribution channel. Jim O’Gara, President of UPS South Asia delved into the role of logistics in e-commerce and the importance of a seamless buying experience regardless of the channel - a store or online.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

 
 
The CEO and founder of EnVeritas Group, Brice Bay is an entrepreneur whose passion for travel, business and smart content lies at the heart of EnVeritas Group. His driven vision of trust and truth as the bedrock of successful content marketing has led EVG to become an industry leader for high-end multilingual content, inspiring long-term partnerships with large global brands. Brice has a knack for card tricks, is a master of smoking food and loves nothing more than a mountain ride on his motorbike. On his travels he has clocked up more than 50 countries, and has only two continents, Antarctica and South America, yet to discover.
 
 
Programmatic evangelist, Jessie De Luca is Director of Activation, Insights and Analytics at Eyeota. Prior to Eyeota, Jessie was responsible for setting up the analytics and programmatic propositions in Europe for ad-tech global market leaders, Xaxis and Rubicon. She also has experience in account management and operations on both the buy-and sell-sides of digital advertising. Jessie is currently based in Singapore and has worked previously in New York, London, Paris, and Brussels.
 
 
Avis is Head of Consumer at Luxasia a distributor and retailer of premium fragrance, skincare, makeup and hair care products across South East and North Asia.  Working with brands such as Burberry, Clarins, Ferragamo and Shiseido together with joint ventures with  LVMH, the PUIG Group and Elizabeth Arden Avis has a passion for differentiation though service and personalization.  Avis blends omni-channel experience of working with major retailers, banks, airlines, telecoms and broadcasters from the UK, US, Middle East and European markets with APAC consumer insight to bring a new approach to the Luxasia business.    
 
 
Jenn Villalobos heads up the APAC Travel Supplier business for Google APAC. This includes Airlines, Hotels and Destination Marketing Organisations. She has more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing and creative strategy and is particularly passionate about transforming the business landscape in developing markets like SEA and Hispanic LATAM. 
 
Jenn is known at Google for constantly challenging C level stakeholders to embrace digital so that they can remain relevant and innovate in a culture of speed in a creative fashion. 
 
Jenn joined Google 10 years ago, holding different Sales and Product related roles out of Sydney, Melbourne, Mexico City, Miami and now Singapore. She joined the Global Accounts team in 2011, looking after Product Adoption and Innovation across Media Agencies and recently spearheaded the commercial relationships between P&G and Google across ASEAN. Jenn has returned to the Travel vertical where she aspires to challenge traditional travel companies to re-think their current marketing and business model to fit new ways to engage consumers online. Jenn’s responsibility is to shift client engagement from advertiser to partner focus in APAC. Jenn holds a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from the Central University of Venezuela, a Masters in Information Technology from Wollongong University, and an MBA from The University of NSW.
 
 
Jim O’Gara is the President for UPS’s South Asia District. Based in Singapore, Jim has overall responsibilities for UPS’s package and supply chain operations in 28 markets across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. The geographical scope encompasses a range of emerging and mature markets from as far south as Australia and New Zealand to the ten markets of ASEAN.
 
A twenty-year veteran of UPS, Jim started his UPS career in a package centre in Exeter, U.K. in 1995. He was rapidly promoted into management and gained broad exposure across multiple operational roles across various U.K. centres, including Nottingham and Nuneaton, where his responsibilities also extended to risk assessment and driver training.
 
Jim’s international career with UPS began in 2005 when he undertook a two-year assignment as country manager for UPS Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh. Jim returned to the U.K. in 2007 following UPS’s acquisition of UK parcel carrier Lynx Express as part of the integration team where he managed the training and alignment of Lynx’s management into UPS. In 2009, Jim relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, to take on the role of Managing Director for Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, where his geographical remit stretched from Senegal to Kenya. He returned to Europe in 2011 as Managing Director for UPS Italy, based in Milan, before moving to Singapore in 2014. 
 
Having lived and worked across three continents and managed UPS’s businesses across multiple markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and now Asia, Jim brings a wide breadth of perspective that enables him to effectively manage cross-functional and multi-cultural teams in the diverse and dynamic Southeast Asia region.
 
Prior to joining UPS, Jim spent some time in the British Armed Forces and was also an entrepreneur for several years. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Jim is an avid golfer. He holds an MBA from Leicester University.
