Special Event

UK Business Security Briefing

This event was specifically aimed at British Businesses and individuals working for British Businesses, and in particular SMEs.

This security briefing aimed to:
  • Increase engagement with British businesses on best practice in terms of physical security and emergency preparedness.
  • Allow for networking opportunities and create a sustainable forum to promote exchanges on regional security.
  • Help British businesses understand FCO consular support structures and how we can mutually benefit from crisis management learning.

Participants were able to better appreciate FCO structures in terms of how the British High Commission engages and supports British nationals overseas. There was a deeper appreciation of the regional threat picture and how businesses can adapt to this, as well as a more informed view on the UK's baseline security principles that can help businesses structure their security strategies to mitigate against existential threats.
