Business Group

The Business Group committee consists of all Business Group chairpersons whose objective is to share their programmes, plans and ideas to discuss content and topics and to identify collaboration opportunities between the groups to achieve a well-balanced, relevant and engaging business event network.

Richard Warburton
Richard Warburton is Executive Director, Head of Financial Institutions, Asia Pacific for Arcadis Asia. He has been with Arcadis since 1994, initially based in London and subsequently in Hungary, Dubai and Singapore where he has been based since 2009.

Richard was elected to the Board of the Chamber in 2014 and has served on the Executive Committee since 2015. He is also Chair of the Business Groups Committee and was previously Chair of the Property and Construction Group between 2012 and 2015.

Tim Rockell
Tim Rockell relocated to Singapore to launch the KPMG Global Energy Institute for Asia Pacific in November 2012. He has extensive experience of emerging markets. He was based with KPMG in the Middle East from 2005-2012 where he focused on Energy clients, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Previously he was based in KPMG’s London office as the Global Energy & Natural Resources Sector, Executive Director.

Dr. Stephen Wyatt (Steve) is a Partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Leadership Consulting Practice, specialising in strategy and leadership development. Steve has worked extensively with both MNCs and Asia-based corporations on strategy planning and implementation in the region, as well as with government agencies and NGOs to address important national and social issues. Steve has spent over 20 years of leadership consulting experience across the Asia Pacific market. He was previously Executive Director at Singapore Management University, where he led the executive and leadership development business. Steve has a PhD in General Management (Strategy & Leadership), as well as a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Having grown up in the UK, Steve has lived in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, and has worked throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Simon is a Partner in the finance group of Watson Farley & Williams LLP, an international law firm. He specialises in the maritime sector, and his clients include a broad range of owners, operators, financiers and other industry participants. He has been with WFW since 2006 and located in Singapore since 2012. Before WFW, Simon was with Sinclair Roche & Temperley and then Stephenson Harwood, based in London and Piraeus. Simon is also a RYA yacht master and keen (if not very able) golfer.

Rosie Danyluk
BP Singapore Pte Limited
Rosie Danyluk is the Head of Communications and the Executive Office at BP Singapore Pte Ltd, and supports the BP Country President in Government and public affairs, brand, marketing and employee engagement in Singapore. This includes overseeing the sponsorship of the ongoing eighteen year student mentoring programme, where some 800 students coach local schoolchildren in Science and Maths. Rosie has worked for BP for thirteen years, during which she has provided communications and marketing support to the gas and trading businesses in London, worked in Mergers & Acquisitions in Moscow and Refining & Marketing strategy in Mumbai.

Marcus, a director at Cundall, leads the Singapore office. A Chartered Building Services Engineer, Marcus has worked with Cundall for ten years, first based in their Manchester office before opening their Singapore office in 2012. Marcus is tasked with expanding Cundall’s business across Asia working with their Shanghai and Hong Kong offices. He has extensive experience across a number of sectors including workplace, data centres and hotels priding himself on repeat business and referrals.

Joe is a young professional who has broad experience in retail, marketing, purchasing, advertising and business development. He currently works at the Professional Development Centre at the British Council supporting a range of clients with their learning and development needs in both the private and public sectors. He is also the diversity lead for the country heading up a team that organise events for staff as well as making sure that diversity is mainstreamed across the business. Joe has previously worked in Amsterdam and London.

Ashley joined The Fry Group in August 2010 and has five years experience in the financial services industry. Ashley is licensed to provide financial advice in Singapore and in addition to the appropriate Singapore qualifications, he has completed the Certificate in Financial Planning issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.

He is currently studying for the Internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification.

Dora Lui is Vice President, Asia Pacific Strategy for Barclays Investment Bank. Dora has a decade of experience in corporate strategy. Prior to Barclays, Dora was a management consultant with Bain & Company in its Singapore and Sydney offices. During this time, Dora worked in banking, telecommunications, private equity and consumer goods across a range of issues in strategy, transformation, due diligence, post-merger integration and performance improvements.

Prior to her career in strategy, Dora was a Chemical Engineer in Australia and the U.S. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.

Andrew Pickup is the Senior Director, Communications at Microsoft Asia. He is responsible for managing the image and reputation of Microsoft across Asia Pacific, Greater China, Japan and India, building new communications capabilities and, leading and growing a highly-committed team of communications professionals in the region. Prior to his current role, he was Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft in Asia-Pacific, and has been based in Singapore since 2003.

Andrew joined Microsoft in 1992 and spent over a decade with Microsoft UK, where he held a number of senior management business and marketing roles. Prior to Microsoft, he was an Account Director with advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in London.

Stephen Trevis is a Managing Director, and has headed up the Legal team in Singapore since February 2007. This team provides support across the region for the following: Markets businesses within the Investment Bank, Unregulated Debt and Leveraged Finance, Derivatives Master Documentation, Barclays Wealth, Barclays Corporate, Commercial Contracts, Company Secretarial and Sourcing.

Prior to joining Barclays, he worked at Standard Chartered from 2003-2007, Deutsche Bank from 1997 to 2003 and Clifford Chance in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong from 1992-1997. His background is primarily in structured products and loans, with a particular focus on emerging markets.
