Watson, Farley & Williams LLP
Simon is a Partner in the finance group of Watson Farley & Williams LLP, an international law firm. He specialises in the maritime sector, and his clients include a broad range of owners, operators, financiers and other industry participants. He has been with WFW since 2006 and located in Singapore since 2012. Before WFW, Simon was with Sinclair Roche & Temperley and then Stephenson Harwood, based in London and Piraeus. Simon is also a RYA yacht master and keen (if not very able) golfer.

Her primary focus is ensuring to meet members' needs and expectations in a dynamic and fast changing business environment. Prior to joining the Chamber Brigitte worked at Imperial Tobacco - the world's fourth largest tobacco company - where she held several senior executive positions leading to extensive experience and knowledge about doing business in Asia. Brigitte is a permanent resident in Singapore and has been living here for 12 years. Born and raised in Hamburg, work led her to live in Moscow before moving to Singapore. Based in Asia she became a keen yoga practitioner and keeps otherwise fit with running to compensate for her love of good food and wine.

Simon started his career in shipping sea in 1974 as a Navigating Officer Cadet. After several voyages as ship’s Master, in 1991 he came ashore, working variously as HSE, Country, Marketing and Project Manager worldwide, before taking up his present role as GM for Sustainable Development 6 years ago. He has a BSc(Hons) in Environmental Science from UEA in Norwich and has been with the Swire group for over 30 years. He has lived in Singapore for a total of 16 years and has a passion for promoting all areas of diversity, inclusion, equality and fairness.

Josephine Feilzer is global head of Transport & Logistics industry coverage for ANZ Institutional Banking, based in Singapore. She works with clients in the automotive, logistics, aviation and shipping industries where the banks provides all banking services and solutions across Asia Pacific. Prior to ANZ, she worked 18 years for ABN AMRO and its successors Fortis Bank and MeesPierson, mainly serving transportation clients, particularly in shipping and intermodal. During the past 11 years she was based in Asia, Hong Kong and Singapore, where amongst other activities, she established the intermodal finance team, managed the shipping sale- and lease back activities and was a director in the first ever sharia compliant mezzanine shipping fund. Clients included shipping-, offshore supply-, leasing-, mining & power companies, as well as commodity traders. Before coming to Asia she worked in Greece, the UK, US, and The Netherlands. Josephine is a Dutch national, has a Masters in Economics from Vrije university Amsterdam, and is passionate about sustainability & fintech.

David Kelly is the Director of Asia PAC for the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), responsible for the growth and profile of the Institute within the Asia Pacific region. A Chartered Marketer, David joined the IMarEST in 2012, where he spearheaded the development and execution of a completely reinvigorated marketing strategy which has fortified the Institute and supported rapid growth over the past three years. David was a key driver behind a skills-gap roundtable held in London in 2013 and subsequent report: “Mitigating the Skills Gap in the Maritime and Offshore Oil and Gas Sector” which led to a redeveloped Skills Working Group under the UK’s Marine Industries Leadership Council (MILC). He has supported the delivery of a Career Level Framework aimed at supporting the professional development of marine professionals around the globe. David is also Chair of the UK’s Marine Industries Leadership Council (MILC) Image Working Group.

Chris Kilburn trained at Watson Farley & Williams qualifying in 2000, became a partner in 2008 and was previously head of the Corporate Group in London before relocating to the firm’s Singapore office in 2013. His practice covers a broad range of corporate work with particular experience in the natural resources, energy and transportation sectors. He advises on deals including strategic alliances (joint venture arrangements and private equity fundraisings), mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial transactions. Chris is recommended by independent legal directories which have commented that he ‘always works in a collaborative manner, and is clear and persuasive’ – Legal 500 2012.

Ron Mathison is the Managing Director of Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO), a diversified marine conglomerate with a fleet of more than 80 vessels and a sound reputation as a trusted service provider in the offshore Oil & Gas industry. Prior to joining SPO in 2015, Ron was the Group Managing Director of James Finlay Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of John Swire & Sons Ltd. Ron first joined Swire in 1984 and spent 24 years with Cathay Pacific Airways where he was previously Director Cargo. Prior to that, he was Director and General Manager of the award winning Asia Miles loyalty programme. During his time at Cathay Pacific, Ron held several senior positions covering marketing, sales and revenue management in various countries.

Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited
Haslam Preeston has been the Regional Managing Director at Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited since February 2014. He oversees the Group’s motor operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, excluding those held by Astra. He is a director of Cycle & Carriage Bintang. Following an early career in the British army, he joined Jardine Matheson in 2001 and has undertaken various roles in different business units, namely Jardine Wines & Spirits, Jardine Motors, Jardine Matheson Limited and Hongkong Land. Just prior to his current appointment, he served as General Manager of Jakarta Land and was the General Manager of Zung Fu Motors (Macau). In Indonesia, he was Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of the European Chamber of Commerce. Haslam holds a Bachelor of Arts (War Studies) from King’s College London, University of London and a Master of Arts (Chinese Studies) from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management, Reading University.
