Scottish Business Group

The mission of this group is to establish it as a cross sectoral group within the British Chamber, to try to support and represent the Scottish Industry in Singapore and network the large amount of Scots in senior positions over here.

Neil McInnes, is Head of the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore Scottish Business Group and Head of Southeast Asia for Scottish Development International (SDI). SDI is the international arm of the Scottish Government responsible for developing trade & investment links between Scotland and the rest of the world.

Neil is based in Singapore and, together with his team, are helping to forge new connections between Scotland and Singapore in areas including energy, education, food & drink and technology and life sciences.

Chris has been Programme Director with The Glasgow School of Art Singapore since 2016, having previously spent over 25 years working in Higher Education and Design in Scotland, England, India, Australia and Malaysia. Chris manages day-to-day operations of the GSA Singapore campus, leads the delivery of the School of Design's undergraduate programmes (currently Communication Design and Interior Design), and acts as formal point of contact between GSA and local partner Singapore Institute of Technology.

Kartina Osman joined Scottish Development International in 2012 and has equipped herself with a wealth of knowledge doing business across various sectors for both Trade and Investment, building and bridging networks within Southeast Asia and Australasia.

Carol joined Skyscanner when it was a small start-up in Edinburgh almost 8 years ago, spending the last two years based in Singapore. Her main focus is on the execution of the company’s strategy and growth plans across Asia Pacific and providing support and reporting to the teams in Singapore, China and Japan.
