Tim Rockell relocated to Singapore to launch the KPMG Global Energy Institute for Asia Pacific in November 2012. He has extensive experience of emerging markets. He was based with KPMG in the Middle East from 2005-2012 where he focused on Energy clients, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Previously he was based in KPMG’s London office as the Global Energy & Natural Resources Sector, Executive Director.

Bree is a senior energy & infrastructure lawyer with international firm Simmons & Simmons. She advises sponsors, lenders, contractors and governments on power (conventional and renewable), oil and gas, water and waste, transport and social infrastructure projects in the region and globally. Bree has particular expertise in project procurement and development and writes extensively on energy and construction law matters.

She has lived in Asia for over a decade and through her career has worked in Hong Kong, Beijing, Abu Dhabi and Australia. She has recently relocated to Simmons & Simmons’ Singapore office.

Damian Adams

Damian Adams has been based in Singapore since 2000 and is a corporate partner of world-class international law firm Simmons & Simmons. He specialises in advising companies and funds on cross-border investments, M&A, joint ventures and commercial transactions, with particular experience in the mining, oil & gas, shipping and offshore energy sectors. He also advises in relation to the sale and trading of commodities. Damian has been involved with BritCham during much of his time in Singapore, having variously coordinated the young professionals group within BritCham (then known as BritPack), served on the Board and, since 2012, as a member of the Executive Committee, serving first as Secretary of the Chamber and more recently as one of its Vice Presidents. Damian also chairs the membership committee.

Ben was a Director in Standard Chartered Bank’s Project Finance team with a focus on the upstream oil and gas industry. Recent engagements include debt arranging roles for major LNG and oilfield developments in the Asia Pacific region, as well as a number of advisory engagements related to financing of oil & gas developments. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2006, Ben was a senior analyst for Deloitte Petroleum Services covering the upstream sector in South East Asia. Ben is a member of SEAPEX and AIPN

Mark Gainsborough

Mark joined Royal Dutch Shell in 1980 after reading Psychology at University College London. He has experience of all parts of the downstream value chain, having worked in sales, marketing, supply, trading, strategy, M&A and business development.

In his current role Mark is responsible for Shell’s Global Lubricants business, Aviation Fuel marketing, Bitumen, Sulphur and LPG. His Global Commercial team is made up of 10,000 people operating in 40+ countries. He also coordinates Shell’s cross business team developing LNG as a transportation fuel. Being based in Singapore, he also acts the regional coordinator for all Shell’s Downstream businesses in Asia Pacific and sponsors the development of Asian Talent in RDS.

Arnaud Dubois-Denis

Arnaud is leading Shell’s gas marketing and operations in Singapore. Following successful startup in May 2013, Shell’s Singapore gas business is supplementing its long term sales portfolio with short term and spot transactions. In addition, Arnaud is leading the development of Shell’s long term LNG and gas supply strategy into Singapore and connected markets.

Before taking his current role, Arnaud was responsible for BG Group’s overall LNG trading activities and has also been involved in different roles in BG Group in LNG, Europe Gas Marketing and North America Gas Marketing, in the UK, USA and Singapore.

Prior to joining BG Group in 2006, Arnaud worked for Total where he served in various positions in LNG and in financial markets located in France, Switzerland and the UK.

Arnaud has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and a Master’s Degree in Financial Markets from the University of Paris Dauphine.

Peter is the Managing Director of the UK Energy Institute (EI) here in Singapore. The EI is the UK’s professional body responsible for developing and sharing knowledge, skills and good practice towards achieving a safe, secure and sustainable future for the energy sector as a whole. Peter is well known in the energy industry having spent most of his career working within the international Oil and Gas industry most recently as an independent consultant through his own company Merlenergy Pte Ltd. He has held a number of senior executive posts in companies such as BP, Arrow Energy and Standard Chartered Bank as well as having built up an international reputation as a strategy and business development consultant to many of the world’s leading national and international energy development companies as well as a number of governments and regulatory agencies. Peter is also actively involved in the performing arts as Chairman of the Teng Ensemble, a highly talented and innovative group of Singaporean Chinese classical instrumentalists and as a member of the board and Treasurer of Wild Rice, one of Singapore’s leading theatre companies.

Nicola works for the UK’s Department of International Trade (DIT) in Singapore and has been with the organisation for over 3 years focusing on Energy, Environment and Aerospace sectors. Nicola has a background in business development in China as well as events management across South East Asia.

Nanda Mackay has been in Singapore with BP since 2010 and has held leadership roles in Downstream Lubricants managing the interface between the commercial and supply organisation across A&P and most recently heading up the back office activities for the Integrated Supply and Trading Business. Nanda has lived in the UK, South America and Middle East working across FMCG and Pharmaceutical MNCs and is passionate about D&I.

Allard Nooy is responsible for the InfraCo Asia’s strategic transformation process. Allard drove the development and implementation of its ‘multi-developers’ and co-investment programme.

He has over 25 years of strategic executive leadership experience in emerging markets and has successfully led and acquired infrastructure, energy and environmental companies throughout Asia.

His key focus has been on the development and implementation of growth strategies, the creation of new assets and the financing and execution of energy and infrastructure projects. The format of these projects varied widely and included PPP’s and BOOT structures in the water, waste water, solid waste management, waste-to-energy, power, and renewable energy sectors.
