18th Annual Business Awards - Calling for entries now!

Entries for the 18th Annual Business Awards are now open. To learn more and to enter, scroll down the page

The 18th Annual Business Awards, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce, are the longest running awards initiative by an international chamber of commerce in Singapore, recognising the impact and achievements of businesses. Acknowledged as a prestigious commendation by our supporting partners including the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Department for International Trade (DIT), this year’s entries will culminate in a gala awards dinner presentation on Thursday 28th September 2017.

To be eligible for the awards, you must be applying either as a Singapore registered enterprise or the employee of such (for individual categories). Membership of the British Chamber of Commerce is not a pre-requisite. This is an ideal opportunity to nominate your team for their efforts and achievement throughout the previous year, or for a specific project.

Entries are assessed by our Judging Panel of leading experts in their area on a concise summary of the company/individual including objectives and culture; concise outline of the business story including achievements; clearly visible initiatives undertaken which are relevant to the selected awards category, and evidence of the impact of these initiatives in transforming your organisation and beyond.

The Cognita journey began in 2004 with a single school, Quinton House, in the United Kingdom and a clear vision for what defines teaching excellence. The British education system, with its worldwide reputation for quality and rigour, has provided the firm foundation for our growth internationally. Our first expansions outside the UK took place in 2007, with the addition of schools in Spain and Singapore, and since then we have welcomed schools in Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil and Chile as well as establishing our first school from inception in Singapore (Stamford American International School). In 2017, Cognita started a worldwide first in Early Years education, and launched in Singapore   a new Early Learning Village through a purpose-built campus for students 18 months to 6 years old. Uniquely developed in collaboration with our two schools - the Australian International School and Stamford American. Founded on the universal truth that the environment nurtures the child, this state-of-the-art facility along Chuan Lane (off Braddell), will offer children access to a 22m swimming pool, large sports gym, learning resource centres and arts and language specialist classrooms. “There’s never been a more exciting time for parents to have their children happy, engaged and learning“ said Michael Drake, CEO of Cognita Asia of the new facility.
